blog assignment #4

Students who have a same position like Liu, they would be understood how he felt, and what he felt. Followed the example, I, of course, had a same experience like Liu. I usually hung out with bunch of Korean friends after class or during the weekend. It is a just natural situation. The reason why it happens is a nature of mind which lived in the same country and had a same culture since a birth. It just gets used to it. Then, the environments where we used to live are just changed and feel really lonely. Therefore, the result followed this situation makes the international students be together.

Followed this kind of phenomenon, there are some ways to fixed. However the best thing which I recommend is “Say Hello to Everyone” In this country, it is not a weird behavior like where I live. Even thought people don’t know each other, they just say hello. It looks like not a big deal but it gives me a huge impression and a suitability of aspiration. Furthermore, of course, the answer also has to be clear like “Yes or No”. I mean the answer for all questions. It will give a lot of difference situations. If you don’t answered obviously, a response will have a diverse meaning which you don’t expect.

Those two things give a lot of change to me. Especially, my personal character is totally changed. Shy will not give any differences, active motive, friendly smile, and lucid answer, those things are what you need to make an American friend and to be adopted to live in this country.

* phenomenon : is something that is observed to happen or exit.
* aspiration : Someone's aspirations are their disire to achieve things.
* lucid : 1 . writing or speech is clear and easy to understand
2. If someone is lucid, they are thinking cleary again after a period of illness

Blog Assignment #3. Eye contact

“Eye Contact“is a big deal in United States. When people have a conversation, Americans are watching through their eyes and talk. In Korea, it is weird things which Koreans usually don’t do it. Followed an example like saying hello, if they didn’t know each other, they just ignore and if they say hello, they think it’s weird. Unlike this situation, Americans are saying hello even more conversation if they didn’t even know each other. It is really simple manner but it has a big difference between two countries.

Jennifer Klumper who was my first roommate ever looked at me and say hello. I still can’t forget her face, especially her eyes. They were blue and really clear to straight forward to my lens. Also her friend who didn’t even know me, greeted really pleasurable. This little thing changed my whole life. It made me to alter my characteristic which is really shy and timid to being sociable. Furthermore, it made me get familiar with this country and people lived here.

Even thought it was not a big deal but it made a big dream. It is not only overstatement but also it actually helped me a lot. In addition, I will not be here, if they didn’t have such kinds of manner like eye contact. In my opinion, it is a good idea which Korean should follow it.

Assignmetnt 2 : option 3

"What kind of blood do you have?" If you had been in Korea before, you may heard of this question. The reason is that Korean are judgeing the person with thetypeof blood such as A, B, O, and AB. Followed this fact, I had a wrong idea from many other people.
The People who has a blood type of A supposed to be shy and timid which is my real blood type. Compare with A, B will lead them are self -confident. Addition to another blood type which is O has characteristics of leadership. Last, the people who has a blood type of AB usually are Psyco which make s people have a completely worng idea of me.
My realpersonality shows as shy and timid however my first image which they saw is barely strong to remember like energetic and keeping strange mind. "When I met you at first time, I thought you are a Psyco, but i find out later that you are not." It was my best friend said by.

Part 2 : Language from other country

“Hey, I want some water.” It was my cousin in Korean restaurant. Then the woman was yelling at him right away. The reason was he didn’t respect as Korean word to elder people. For example, as Korean, “Hello” has two ways to say for respect and not to respect. “Anyonghaseyo” (Hello) is for respect people such as elder one. However, “Anyong” which is shorter than first one is for younger or same person. Unlike the Korean, English doesn’t have any rule of language.
Followed the word “please”, Koreans are supposed to ended with “~yo” to elder people. It’s not optional, but it is mandatory in Korea especially to parents. If it is the difference between two of them, there is in common also. In USA, older people use a formal language of English but youth use abridged one. For example, the word”Be right back” is turning to “brb”. Like this example, Korean has one, too.
By getting older, people use an informal language to formal language. The languages are transformed as many other ways like two above examples. One of them is how to use a word to what kind of people who can be peers and elder. The other is a transformed word which make as short. Followed the features, It is also a culture of their country to learn from each others, too.
